The First Introduction to Postcrossing

Ehmmmm... Maybe some of you have heard about this thing, Postcrossing. Yeah, this is a website that holds project about sending postcards to another person that you don't recognize at all. But don't worry, you will receive postcards from strangers too. There is a requirement if you want receive postcard from another person. The person that you sent postcard has to register an ID that you wrote on the postcard. It's kinda like a symbiosis. Every person that has received has to be registered. So it's like if you do something good to people, nature will do something good to you. This is a snapshot of Postcrossing website.

Ups, I forget the story of my first meeting with this lovely website.
"I heard this postcrossing project from my junior in my university. She is an art student, an interior designer student. She and 2 other friends made a shop that's called TROA Artwork. They sold their stuff at the OHU-ITB (Open House Unit ITB). One of the stuff is postcard. In curious way, I ask why they sold postcard to Chaterine, art student. I forget her explanation but she explained about pen pals and stuff like that. She also explained the postcrossing project, you sent somebody a postcard, you received from somebody, and so on. Hearing that, I am so amazed that there is still a culture of sending postcard in this world. Another statement that strengthen my desire is countries in Europe like to write an email or postcard to their friend. My favorite country (France) still does this kind of thing. I'm suddenly interested to join this project. I like travelling, so if I receive a landmark or view from another country, I will be interested to go there. It's like learning about other countries through photos. Thank you Chaterine for introducing me to this project."

Well, maybe it's a simple story of how I met Postcrossing but I really don't want to lose this memory. Hehehe

Happy Postcrossing guys!!
